thank you for your questions. I have been looking into the name_suggestion_index (NSI) and its integration into the ID-editor.

Consequently, I found that a lot of “Netto (Salling)” supermarkets are not tagged correctly since the NSI is often suggesting the tags for “Netto (Salling)” rather than “Netto Marken Discount” if the user is just typing “Netto” in the name field. Espeacially in NRW this was obvious since the supermarket chain is not present in this region.

Since I accidentally made the same mistake recently in accepting the wrong suggestion given by the NSI, I thought about correcting my mistake and other incorrect tags since I was already looking. Overall, I am genuinely just trying to improve the map. There is no other motivation.

Hello hsc666, thanks for your questions. I find them visually by looking on the satellite images which are especially detailed in NRW. In urban areas this is more difficult but their shadows often give them away. Based on the images I can often tell if it’s a communication mast used for mobile phones or not. When I am not sure I just mark them as a common communication mast. I was trying to add a source to the locations I mapped but so far without success.
