I had this same question too, so I'm glad I came across this discussion. Just from spot-checking a handful of these houses, none of them are signed with their names and frankly none of them look historic, which makes me think the names are just based off the original owner or something like that. Doing a web search of the names doesn't turn up anything either, at least for the ones I checked. I would propose moving these values to `loc_name=*` or some other secondary tag.

A lot of searching, which I'll admit I didn't do for the presidential-sounding ones and maybe caught me out on Kennedy (Monroe, Madison, Quincy, Adams, etc) so thanks for flagging that. There are a surprising number of resources about DC's street names (including Ghosts of DC, Smithsonian Magazine, neighborhood historical associations), but none are even close to comprehensive.

I'm not familiar enough with Overpass Turbo styling to be able to tweak that query for you. I could write a separate query for that if you want...

Hi Mateusz, I have no plan for the fixme:atp tag and never did; I personally don't really see the harm in them. I have been told elsewhere that it was useful in tipping off which of a brand's locations are closed, but obviously there will always be errors and some ATP spiders are better than others. According to taginfo, there are 4,500 of them.

Thanks for flagging Will. It looks like I accidentally clicked the nodes in the wrong order when merging the batch I did in Mount Pleasant. This is meant to just add data, not move or remove anything. I'll clean this up shortly!

Hey, be careful when editing roads like this, it looks like you tweaked the order of members in a couple bus route relations in this area.

Strange, there were only 11 but I've fixed them in changeset/172589320. Thanks for pointing that out.

That was an early bug in TIGER King that I didn't catch for a while, it wasn't properly adding the error message. I haven't removed because at least its a flag that there's an issue and it's not worth adding a new version to the way.

Fixed in changeset/172087644. The data comes from All the Places, which doesn't collect that particular information unfortunately and appears to have had a bad run when I imported this data. If you know Python, you can try to tweak the scraper to add that functionality here: https://github.com/alltheplaces/alltheplaces/blob/master/locations/spiders/chick_fil_a.py .

I think the 45 mph speed limit and the tight exits and entry from North Queen Street are suggestive that this isn't really a motorway. If you look through the history, this stretch has gone back and forth quite a bit, but I trust Joseph RP's judgement since he's done a lot of this in the area, and it looks like he ultimately settled on highway=trunk. Hi alstond, welcome to OSM. Can you explain your rationale here for changing this to motorway? Generally, highway hierarchy and tagging is pretty well thought out in the DMV area.
