Hi again! I noticed that this changeset re-adds the crosswalk at Belle Mead-Blawenburg Road and Skillman near the post office. Just a heads-up from a local mapper: this crosswalk no longer exists on the ground. It was removed during a repaving/reconfiguration project more than a year ago. It looks like the satellite imagery layer you might be using is slightly outdated and still shows the old road markings. Per OSM guidelines, current ground truth takes priority over older aerial photos. I had previously removed this feature to keep the map accurate for navigation. I’m going to remove it again to reflect the current real-world layout. If you have any questions or want to check out the local road status, let me know! Thanks for understanding.

Hi there! Thanks for your work updating the residential driveways in this area. I noticed you’ve been adding access=private to a lot of standard residential driveways here. According to the global OSM tagging guidelines, we generally want to avoid blanket-tagging residential driveways as private unless there is a physical gate or explicit "No Trespassing" signage posted at the entrance. The OSM Wiki notes that adding access=private to every home can inadvertently break routing profiles for delivery services and emergency vehicles, as it signals that entry is legally restricted. Standard routing engines (like Valhalla or OSRM) already know not to use service=driveway for through-traffic or shortcuts by default, so the extra access tag isn't necessary for normal homes. You can check out the consensus on this under the "Residential driveways" section on the OSM Wiki page for Tag:access=private. Thanks again for mapping, and let me know what you think!

There are no notices/signs posted prohibiting the use of bicycles on the trails. The Hunterdon County parks and recreation department also confirmed bicycle access is permitted. |

Note on adding track/access roads on private farmland - please make sure to mark the access as "private" as these are not publicly accessible paths (off South Branch Rd near Norz Hill Farm) - thanks.

I think there's some subjectivity, rather than a hard rule, whether driveway can be used when shared between two adjacent residences. There are plenty of examples in the forums and questions online where the OSM community supports using service/driveway in this scenario, especially for such a short driveway off the residential road. Deeper inspection of the actual property boundary, the currently mapped portion of the driveway is defined on a single lot (single residence). The original changeset intent was to ensure the segment did not appear as a publicly routable residential road. I'm still leaning towards this as service/driveway, but if you feel strongly it should be general service, I can change it - lmk. Also I appreciate the feedback and discussion as I'm learning best practices and conventions for mapping - thanks!

From visiting the site, this is a driveway shared by two residences; I don't believe this should be considered a road (or service road). I might be missing something, but I believe service/driveway is appropriate even if two houses share the same driveway?
