Also as I've commented on a previous change, India uses this classification: osm.wiki/India/Tags/Highway access control doesn't automatically imply motorway, that does not reflect how MORTH or NHAI treat it.

The flyover was under construction, but as you noticed it has stalled. Not sure when they will pick up work again, but I think its fine to leave it as tagged for now

Hi, thank you for your changes! I reclassified this section as highway=trunk + expressway=yes, because as far as I can tell, it is a national highway, not an expressway. It uses the standard green NH signs, and doesn't have the expressway signage at any point. See osm.wiki/India/Tags/Highway . As you noted, it provides local access at Porur too. I would say the whole road needs to be classified as trunk.

We always use highway=trunk for National Highways, regardless of if its a dual carriageway or not. For divided roads, you can always add dual_carriageway=yes. This allows routers to properly prioritize driving on National Highways, which are typically faster and better maintained than State Highways. It also makes it easy to differentiate highways on the map visually.

Hi, could you please stop adding access=no on all footpaths? It is completely redundant and actually messes up cycle routing, as mentioned previously. Also it would help if changesets are more local, rather than having changes that affect small roads across three cities
