Sorry, if I have messed up. I have taken on board comments for the future, but I am a bit confused!

The project 1880 instructions asked individuals to map Highways and Residential areas not to map buildings. A part-two project will follow to add these. This is why I probably did this. I do not remove buildings that are perfect or simply required corners squaring!

The instructions

This is the first stage in providing pre-emptive mapping of Niger State in Nigeria. The project focusses on residential areas and major highway/road networks. Please use Bing aerial imagery.

Commonly used tags

Residential areas:

Residential areas are composed of more than two houses and are tagged with landuse=residential.

If residential area shapes already exist, but do not encompass all the buildings in the village or town, please adjust the boundary accordingly.

Major roads:

highway=tertiary for main roads connecting towns
highway=unclassified connecting smaller villages and hamlets
