Great work! The cycling route is mapped now. If you enjoy mapping, you can check out maproulette.org, with some nice challenges.

As a safety measure, you can only remove a road if it is entirely on your screen. So you can zoom out and press 'delete' key. If it is too large, you can cut the road in smaller pieces (select a node halfway and press 'X').
Did you manage to add the streets that make up the route to the relation?

Great that you started mapping! Welcome to the OSM community :D. You are correct, ideally the path is removed once the route relation is added. I can start adding some roads to the route relation. If the route has a name or color, you can specify it in the relation.

Hi Jim, you now mapped the bike route as a cycle path. If the route follows existing roads, you should add it using a 'relationship'.
In the iD editor, select the road(s) that are part of the route, scroll to the bottom, and under 'relations', press '+'.

Goed dat je het checkt! De tags die ik gebruikt heb zijn meer gebaseerd op de praktijk dan op de werkelijke borden, dus wellicht moet het aangepast.
1. In de praktijk lopen mensen langs het ruiterpad aan de oostkant, net als langs het middelste gedeelte.
2. Het terrein is niet erg geschikt voor fietsers, en zeker niet voor auto's. Ik heb idd geen bord gezien, dus voor mountainbikers zou het wel mogen.
