Hi Bernard. Thanks for your comment. Yes they are.Two of them are already tagged with Highway=footway and bridge=boardwalk which I believe to be correct. The other wasn’t (it was bridge=yes) so I have changed it to match. I have also changed them to surface=wood rather than asphalt.

Thanks for the clarification. I have no problems with what you have done. I am not sure what the position is if an owner doesn’t want their area to be mapped, particularly if the information used is partly the result of a visit made under certain restricted conditions. For example it is common to say people may not take photos but I have never come across anything related to mapping but I suppose it is such a minority activity. Has the user been blocked to prevent a repeat? Is the previous discussion about these changes publicly available?

I have to say I was puzzled by this and a little put out that my additions were described as vandalism which certainly want my intention! I wasn’t aware of the previous detail and it appeared rather under mapped following a visit at the weekend so I was in the process of adding more detail in stages. Obviously I wouldn’t have done this if I had known about your mapping. Do you know why your additions were deleted? It did occur to me that the owners didn’t want it mapped as it does seem to be a bit of a secret garden which is rarely open. Anyway I am quite happy with your more detailed mapping but was a bit unsure if the sculptures should be statues or even memorials rather than artworks so I did make them statues to see if it provoked a discussion!
