| 127347954 | Thanks a lot. I couldn't find any info about the addr:country tag in the UK-specific discussions/wiki, so not sure if there is community consensus in the UK. Personally, I'm a bit wary of edits that just delete stuff based on an idea of "making the data tidier/smaller". There's a lot of 'duplicated' info in the database that could be rationalised (in different ways depending on your viewpoint!), but I think it's more productive to add things! |

| 127347954 | Where was the discussion before you made this mass edit, or where has the UK community agreed and documented that the address:country tag is "not needed"? If it has been agreed by the community, then I have no real problem with it. But if not, then it's not a very valid edit. A mass edit, removing the tag from 1/3 of the addresses in a large area, should have been discussed by the community first, and followed the code of conduct here: osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct
It would also be great if you could amend the changeset comment so it actually describes what you have done "Remove addr:country=GB", rather than "Address corrections" (which implies that the addresses were 'incorrect', when what you seem to have actually done is just remove information). |

| 127347954 | Why have you removed the addr:country=GB tag? Is there a purpose to it? |
