Yes I believe there's some army training facilities up the road so the fence is definitely meant to be impassible.. on one side it goes into the woods and a bank into a fast running stream on the other, and a similar gate on the other side (i've explored both). It's a beautiful area but I wish they'd rename Wildlife Loop to make it clear it's most certainly not a loop!

hi elliott, thanks for the comment.. i definitely agree but in this particular case the BGE access road ends and there's no apparent path from there connecting to the other Patapsco trails.. or if there was one it wasn't obvious to me. The original path went through several backyards on homes on Amore Circle as well.

Hi, thanks, the issue here is Strava told me I could get from the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge into the Piney Orchard community when I couldn't as there is a very imposing/ impassible gate there, causing me to backtrack in the middle of summer when I was not prepared to do so.. so it's potentially dangerous. Could we end the public road at the gate and make the other road private?
