@SomeoneElse; I followed up with @jpsyl who said they'd added the extra "ferry" route after their satnav had been unable to route via the provided "shutte_train" routeing. This is a more general issue (the routeing engine don't cope with the schema used), so I've left it for the moment.

This seems to duplicate the prior (more detailed) provision documented at:

This changeset nuked the FR->UK cycle-routeing relation with no obvious explanation. I would what else got broken.

Still trying to track down which precise changesets were the cause of the tram track misalignment between Queensferry Street, Princes Street and St Andrews Square.

This changeset (the only one by this contributor) appears to have done some damage to the public transport mapping in the centre. The changeset summary "removed … underground lines (they are underground!)" appears to confirm this.
