We apologize for not reverting our changesets in New York in a timely manner. Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, we were able to start doing it a week after the discussion. By this time, almost all of them have been reversed or modified. Thank you so much for your massive removal of our landuse edits. We really appreciate your input!

Thanks for the clarification, both. We are sincerely sorry that this happened and will revert our edits in NYC. We will agree on our approach according to the existing process with local OSM communities. All our new projects will comply with the approval process before the start of the active mapping stage.

We truly appreciate you raising the question of our compliance with Organised_Editing_Guidelines. This initiative has been discussed in the OSM community Slack https://osmus.slack.com/archives/C2VJAJCS0/p1661266591802339. And our edits are in line with osm wiki osm.wiki/Land_use. At the same time, we understand that the process of editing alignment hasn’t been completed, so we have stopped adding landuse areas. Also, we will definitely make further updates of our documentation in order to fully comply with the OSM community guidelines. I want to assure you that Lyft’s Mapping team takes OpenStreetMap rules seriously. I’m incredibly sorry for any inconvenience.
