In this changeset, you have changed the streetname from Hobelaan to Georges Hobélaan. There seems to be some confusion as to what is correct. What is your source on this? In the changeset, you mention "AIV Flanders most recent aerial imagery" as a source. But it's unlikely you saw the streetname from aerial images :) Thanks for getting back and helping to clear this up.

"shown on the map", on what map exactly do you mean? Some applications aimed towards hikers already do effort to clearly indicate (or hide) forbidden paths.

Secondly, I highly doubt that a large amount of people using those paths on Walberla do so because the default map on osm.org shows them. On the contrary: people mainly use those paths because the paths are there, and because people ignore the signs.

Hi, in this changeset, you have changed some paths to "disused:highway". But in reality, these paths are still being used, athought access is not allowed. Wouldn't "access=no" be a better idea then?

Waarom teken je zelf een nieuwe grens in voor Kiewit (admin level 10 osm.org/way/1281103177), in plaats van de bestaande grens van de admin 8 te gebruiken (osm.org/way/313182313). Ik veronderstel dat je die logischer vindt? Op basis van welke bron is die ingetekend?

I made a huge changeset by accident, spanning over 1000 km.

Dat duurt soms een tijdje. De wijziging zit in de databank, maar de tiles van de kaartjes moeten opnieuw gemaakt worden. De kaart hier op openstreetmap.org is soms na enkele minuten geupdate (eventueel na een harde refresh via CTRL-F5). Andere website gaan soms nog wat trager updaten.

Daar heb je wel een punt. Door een foutje in een vorige edit was de tag "access=no" niet toegevoegd. Ik heb dit nu rechtgezet.
Routers en navigatie software gaan dit paadje alvast niet meer gebruiken.
Hoe het er op de kaart uitziet, is vaak een beslissing van de data user. Op deze website is een ontoegankelijk pad een iets andere stippellijn (zie paadje hier net boven). Op andere sites zoals alltrails.com staat dit er in grote letters op.

Bedankt voor je eerste bijdrage tot OpenStreetMap. Dit paadje is inderdaad al sinds een tijdje niet meer toegankelijk. Toch houden we dit soort paden liever in OSM, maar zetten de toegankelijkheid op "niet toegankelijk". Binnen enkele maanden of jaren is het pad misschien volledig overgroeid, en kunnen we het wel effectief verwijderen.

Alhoewel, over die cycleway:buffer heb je wellicht toch gelijk, sorry. De wiki zegt: "This tag can only be used when the cycleway is represented by a tag on the main road"

Dag StijnRR, je hebt dit stukje weg (osm.org/way/332597307) hernoemd van Aalterbaan naar Kleitkalseide. Dat zal wel per ongeluk geweest zijn? Ik pas het alvast terug aan.

Waarom verwijder je ook de tag "cycleway:buffer=2"? Deze lijkt me hier correct gebruikt te zijn.
