@Anonymous: I think OSM should be a geographic information database, not a collection of links to pictures that are not geographic information. I think it would be better to just link to the Wikipedia article and add a wikidata link, so that interested map users can look for whatever information they want there. I'll add it to the node with the name of the area. But if it's important to you, I don't mind it to be kept.
@Dimitar: The area has paved roads, stone houses, a school, shops, electricity, street lighting and garbage collection, which I wouldn't call "a precarious or informal state of occupation". I think the tag is meant to describe slums in India or Africa, which are in a much worse state.

I tagged the path as disused so that it will not show on most map apps, and people will not be tempted to use it because their map shows it (often without information on its dangers and access status). I think we as OSM mappers have a certain responsibility to discourage hikers from using illegal and dangerous paths.

I did not delete the path, just tagged it as not accessible and disused. I trust that the note accurately described the situation as a closed (forbidden) path. If you think that doesn't describe the actual situation, please correct.

It is not an irregular settlement (the buildings are registered in cadastre), and landuse=residential is always an area so no need for area=yes

As I wrote: the information in the note. There are several sites that also say it is closed.

Hi again: I made some edits to this block so you can see how it's usually mapped. We normally don't add addresses to shop and entrance nodes if the building they are in already has an address. Only on staircase entrances we add the entrance letter in the ref=* tag (for instance ref=А; А should be Cyrillic A)
Happy mapping!

This office still exists! the sign is in Latin script, though, not in Cyrillic

You also incorrectly changed the opening hours of the alcohol shop... :(

The empty shop that you edited to a bank is still empty, so I am reverting your edit. Please be more careful next time not to introduce errors on the map.

Hi, thanks for your edits! But are you sure about this one? Texaid is a brand for textile recycling so I would be surprised if they suddenly start recycling green waste. It would be the first time such waste is recycled in Sofia

It's certainly not where it used to be, and it's an open space so I think I would have noticed if it had moved somewhere close by. Will look for it next time I'm there

Have a look at what values are most often used for that tag here https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/cuisine#values Also consider osm.wiki/Good_practice#Don't_map_temporary_events_and_temporary_features (if the food they serve changes often, it takes a lot of effort to keep it up to date)

I've never been there; I based my edit on the information on the website. If you've been there, you know better so please change it if you think it's better that way.

Hi again! Please note that tags like foot=* are used to describe the Legal access to something (see access=* ). So foot=no means that there is a sign there that says it's forbidden to cross the ford. I think what you want to tag is that it's too deep to cross on foot without getting your feet wet, so what you can do is add a tag depth=0.5 (for instance).
Please also see osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element (add ford=yes to the crossing or to the track, bot not both)

Please never use Google Maps or other copyrighted sources of information in editing OSM osm.wiki/Google
Cuisine=* is used to tag what a restaurant specialises in (Chinese food, breakfast, etc.), not for listing everything on the menu or ingredients of the items on the menu. See cuisine=*

You're doing a lot of good work, but sometimes there are some things you need to learn. I'm trying to help you with it

175807136 před 26 dny

You could tag it with access=private or opening_hours:signed=no

I'm sorry but I don't think your edit is an improvement so I reverted it. I surveyed there yesterday.

About the honey shop: there's also a sign that they are buying paper for a certain price, so maybe they're also buying the washed burkani, and it's a recycling shop? amenity=recycling
recycling_type=centre ?

OK, I don't want to give you a headache but am interested. What does https://kais.cadastre.bg/bg/geonames say? (got the link from ignisf/tevildo_ but don't have the skills to access it myself)

Hi again, what is your source for the stars= tag? It's usually only used for hotels and restaurants. stars=*

175655508 před 29 dny

Hi again! I can recommend not to use the kerb=lowered_and_sloped value, because it's rarely used (only 0.04% of all kerb values, https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/kerb#values ) so there is a high risk that map data users will not recognise that value. Better choose one of the more often used values (the ones StreetComplete offers). With those values, the value of wheelchair= is implied, so you don't need to tag it.
