Sorry, there were couple of mis-communications happened earlier. We were in an impression, you are requesting the supervisor to respond to the comment instead of the editor hence I responded personally. All this communication is being made post discussion with the editor and happy to have him answering your queries going forward. We clearly stated our editors not to mix any of their personal edits with public edits but he missed it from his end. We have warned him not to make such errors again and have walked him through the OSM wiki’s once again for his reference.

As communicated earlier, since it was not a suggestion through our editing process and the edit was made by the editor on his own, it didn’t get reviewed. Going forward we will make sure to avoid such private edits coming through our process. We will roll out an update to our entire editing team not to make such edits in OSM unless we have a proper evidence on ground. Hope this helps and answers your questions.

Hi Skyper,

This is a complete mistake by our editor, he added gate based on bing satellite imagery where there is small line like structure. Editor have made these edit on his own and not under the programs we run. So, it didn't went to review pipeline. We have given all the necessary feedback to editor and ensure this will not happen again. Sincere apologies on behalf of our editor. Once again, thanks for your feedback

reverting the changeset/85588952 as the area is under construction

thanks for your response. As per the mapillary imagery(link https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=Iz1_KPdDFy7EJC8f30xo-Q&focus=photo&lat=50.93782216108911&lng=6.88238892980198&z=17&x=0.6782668733719401&y=0.35275795056483905&zoom=0.6643598615916951) dated 24-6-2018. we have encountered a sign board stating "Anlieger frei", post translating to english it was found as "open for residents" and "residents only". We have cross verified this with the osm wiki access=* and added the access as private. post the community feedback, we performed keen deep dive and found the sign board in the wiki osm.wiki/DE:Tag:access%3Ddestination which is supposed to be a destination, and aligning with the community feedback. we have reverted the previous changesets as per the wiki and the community suggestion. all our edits are completely based on the osm wiki. once again, thanks for the feedback.

Apologies for the miscommunication.the editor has misinterpreted the signboard based on mapillary which is unclear, and modified the access tag. it is a mistake from our end. since the editor is out of office at this point of time, i have cross verified the changeset and made the necessary changes at the earliest. the feedback is forwarded to the respective editor. once again, we highly value the community feedback, always happy to learn from the community.

Previously, we received some suggestions from community to add private tag to the roads (like this scenario) based on the available resources, as they are not supposed to be used by the normal public.
