Hi,
do not draw new objects over existing objects
(no "landuse=residential" inside a existing "landuse=residential", no "highway=residential" over a existing "highway=construction") Change the tagging instead. Do not tag buildings with "area=yes". Use "building=yes (*)" instead. Square your buildings, make sure that they have the correct shape and size. Area type ways like buildings or landuse should not share nodes with line type ways like highways or waterways. The name tag should only be used for official names. Never use it as a description or for names made up by yourself. Please fix these issues before adding new. Maybe you should consider to switch to JOSM because of its build in data validator. It provides also a more sophisticated building plug-in.

Hi edvac,
This is a typical edit by an local mapper. Therefore its is very valuable. He or she is new to OSM. I do not know what kind of edits can be done with MAPS,Me. But I guess that its functionality is very limited.
I would expect that it is not possible to edit existing objects or to add place nodes. So if you are interested in this area try to fix the data. If you turn on the error Notes Layer you will find more hints left from NWR2018. Fortunately, there are other mapping activities in Africa besides HOT.

Vandalism may sound a little harsh, but please, take a look into the history of this relation
relation/2280649/history
I fear, you may have accidently deleted more valuable information like this in many other cases. Ideally, you should use more than one image source to determine the shape of large buildings. Some experience would also help. Please refer to the wiki for correct tagging and interpretation of arial imagery

hi,
to me this looks more like vandalism than an improvement!

I would suggest to remove the landuse=residential tag from the boundary relation. You could draw separate polygons instead. Are this refugee camps realy that big? What happens to the native inhabitants?

You can't do landuse over landuse
(farmland over residential)

Hi,
please stop this. This task is about buildings not roads. Residential roads are planed and suitable for a car. Take your time, inspect the surroundings and get a feeling for the right scale and order of things before you continue mapping.

Hi,
Sat imagery is in general outdated. Especially in fast growing citys like Harare. Esri is the most recent avilable Imagery here. Thats why it is also recommented in the instructions

Perfect,
I see you have already invalidated some tasks. When you hit the "questions and comments" tab you can directly address the project manager. By the way https://www.hotosm.org/users/dale_kunce is the current HOT Board president. There are also different Mailing lists were such problems can be discussed.
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/?C=M;O=D
talk, hot and talk-africa should be the most interesting in this case.
Please do not hesitate to raise your voice.

Its either a track or a path. And it is also close or inside a national park. So highway=unclassified would be certainly wrong.

are you local?
You may want to complain here:

@dkunce
You should also invalidate their tasks, There is a lot more of this rubish throughout Malawi.

Hallo,
warum löschst du eigentlich ständig den "boundary=protected_area" tag?
Auf der Karte verschwindet so ein Polygon nach dem anderen.
