Honestly I think it would be better supported if they were separate ways. But, according to convention, the way to designate the entry-exit points is change:lanes=*

When mapped as a single way, change:lanes=* and other *:lanes=* tags can be used to accurately represent the situation on-the ground.

If there are not physical barriers on the ground, this should likely be a single way in each direction.

That way, reviewers can look at what changes you made and compare them to what you said you were trying to do, so that we can spot any mistakes more easily.
