1 day ago | Oh, I see what you're saying. Not sure exactly how this should be. But I thought the single white line was just a lane marker? I read the dotted line as "warning, exit only ahead" and the solid single white line as "exit only imminent, avoid changing lanes here", and the split of the lines (could be considered a double white line) as "definitely don't cross here." Not sure if my understanding of the lines is correct, but I see that single white line that changes dotted > solid just before Harbor Island exit as only a warning of an imminent split and discouraged lane change, but not an actual split of the exit yet. Again, I'm not super familiar with how to map this situation, but consider as a reference the I-90 exit to Rainier south: node/1388977594 (you can hit "edit" to see the aerial imagery under the data). There's a solid white line for a while (after the dotted line "warning"), but the exit ramp doesn't actually split off until the single white line splits into a triangle. So I guess my question is, is a solid white line really the start of the split even before the triangle? And then, for your Tesla, shouldn't it already be in the exit only lane heading towards west seattle bridge? Or is it not lane-aware, or not using lane data in OSM (as far as I can tell the turn:lanes=* and destination:lanes=* are correct on the lead-up to the exits). Thanks for the details. I'm not an expert here either, so I'm happy to be working through it with you.
1 day ago | Thanks for this. These ramps used to be mapped the way you described, but I thought (based on aerial imagery) that these lanes were reconfigured. The way I'm seeing these lanes, there's an exit only lane for a while, and then there's a normal exit (i.e. not forced by exit only lane) out of that exit only lane--that's the first ramp off 99, heading to harbor island. Then, a little later, that exit only lane feeds into a new exit, that dumps into west seattle bridge. So that's what I changed it to last month in changeset/174749238. Did I accidentally use old imagery and update to the previous configuration? Are you using imagery or (recent) personal experience to describe the current configuration? Thanks again for working on this--data accuracy is important!--and welcome to OpenStreetMap!
3 days ago | Ahh, of course! 🤦♂️ Thanks for clarifying Happy mapping!
3 days ago | Hey, thanks for the edit. But why did you tag way/1118510963 as a one way only road?
3 days ago | Sorry, I'm not sure what your changeset comment means. Is "lu" a region? What type of edits did you make? Please explain :) thanks
6 days ago | Yes, I reverted it, see linked changeset. But @defikarte is a service account for https://defikarte.ch/, which could use some tighter data validation such as a maximum move distance.
7 days ago | Thanks for the business details. You left this tagged as a flooring shop, so I updated it. I know Organic Maps' editor isn't the most flexible, so no problem :)
7 days ago | This is incorrect. Maybe consider preventing users from moving the location of a defibrillator more than a reasonable amount.
7 days ago | Hey, thanks for working on this. But I don't understand why you're removing the tags instead of changing them? Discussion is ongoing on the OSM US Slack at https://osmus.slack.com/archives/CCJ2P6KCH/p1765659709853359. That Slack is a helpful resource if you haven't heard about it before. Happy mapping!
8 days ago | No problem :) Happy mapping!
9 days ago | I think you meant to use a lifecycle prefix? osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix I changed this to razed:building=roof but let me know if you had building=razed for a reason.
17 days ago | Hey, I'm curious why you expanded the name. Isn't the signed name just "Molly Moon's" or perhaps "Molly Moon's Ice Cream" and that other information, especially the Columbia City location name, best included in other tags? I might need to read through some wiki pages again, if there's a good one you know of about the technicalities of names that you could point me to that would be helpful. Happy mapping!
18 days ago | Fixed, good catch! I think this is correct for a carwash? Happy mapping!
26 days ago | Hey, thanks for all the edits you've been doing! Details like this are helpful for OpenStreetMap. I'm writing, though, because I notice that you've been leaving empty changeset comments. Myself & other local mappers would prefer if you add even a basic changeset comment like "add house types" or "specify road surfaces" so it's easier to understand, sort, and review your changes. But keep it up; these contributions are helpful! Thanks!
26 days ago | Hey, I heard briefly about map battle, but still don't quite know what it is. Either way, could you please try to add a descriptive changeset comment in addition to the hashtag? That way its easier for other mappers to see why you're making changes (just a bunch of "#mapbattle" changesets in a row looks a bit suspicious for reviewers, if you know what I mean). Remember: quality over quantity! Is there some webpage for #mapbattle? Sounds interesting!
30 days ago | Sorry, I missed that tag in the list and thought you had removed it. Never mind. Happy mapping!
30 days ago | Hey, is this invalid or just incorrect format? (i.e. is there a reason I shouldn't include the hours they wrote when I clean up the other tags?)
about 1 month ago | Why remove bus=yes? iD is actively warning me that the stops are missing that tag. Thanks.
