Changeset When Comment

Totally get that—and you’re absolutely right.

There are many contributors who jump in without reading the documentation or the OSM wiki, and it shows in the data. It’s frustrating to fix the same mistakes repeatedly, especially when well-meant corrections are met with resistance or, worse, blocks. Been there myself.

And yes, commenting often feels like shouting into the void—or worse, getting into pointless debates. Quietly fixing what’s broken and moving on is usually the most effective approach. Your persistence still makes a real difference, even if it doesn’t always feel like it.

If you ever want to coordinate on a cleanup or need backup for a trickier area, I’m in.

Why don't you correct this instead of commenting. I try as much as I can to clear this mess.

Hi Mahmoud, It is not a street but a motorway link. Construction is finished but the freeway is not open for traffic yet. 10 kms are supposed to be open on June 2025. you can follow project news on this forum. https://www.skyscrapercity.com/threads/khemis-meliana-bordj-bou-arreridj-4e-rocade-dalger-highway-262-km-u-c.1565660/page-7?post_id=192437095&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-192437095

these polygons do not reflect the real buildings. They overlap and OSM is asking for this problem to be solved. This user doesn't read the wiki. I don't understand how a person with few changes to his credit can block a former cartographer. You let vulgar insults and racist remarks pass through because you don't understand the language. It's necessary for the people in charge of the North Africa region to be able to read and write Arabic and French in order to be able to settle conflicts.

I do not need to justidfy to you the modificxations. There is a difference between Unité de protection civile from Protection civile. It is not useless because you ignore french or arabic.

Thanks for sharing. I started mapping in 2013. I know how to map, the local knowledge and how to call amenities.

You have no clue about the local culture. Echourouk newspaper is a not a source. Focus on other countries.I'm not stopping. This message is for you and other people from Germany. Send your ss waffen to Poland or elswhere

86355342 about 5 years ago

It is notup to non algerian to decide which languages to use.

86355342 about 5 years ago

No Kabyle uses arabic alphabet. Tifinagh is used for berber language not Kabyle. Kabyle is a berber language but the linguists prefer latin based.

86355342 about 5 years ago

Echorouk online is not a source. The onlu accpted sopurce is the official gazette of the algeria republic. Echourouk transcript the name in arabic. No one in my country uses ras el carbon. You better focus on your own shit. Hands off Algeria. I'm not acceptiong the forcez arabization of my country or the official names.

86355342 about 5 years ago

Do not use name:kab-ara the kabyle language uses its own latin-based alphabet. I know german like altering other people culture like is Poland, czech republic as in the 2nd world war. So stay away !

The nbames are not arabic. Please give me any arabic name name. The names are all berber but transcripted in arabic alphabet. So please stopp saying arabic. It is not up to a German to tell me the meaning of names in my country. I will write your name in arabic, does this make you arab? فردريك رام is your name in arabic alphabet. Are you arab?

Many examples as Cap CArbon, the name was changed from Cap Carbon which is the official name to a translated name proposed by the mapper. No one uses ras el carbon. THere are two official languages in Algeria and the french is used too.

It is not arabic name but transcription in arabic alphabet. People in Nejaiai do not speak arabic but kabyle language. My grand parents do not use arabic, neither my father. I changed the name:fr from Oued Solomon to Oued Sliman because it is the official name. Solomon is the prophet name in french language, We use sliman in algerian arabic or berber language. We started mapping since 2013, everything was ok until foreigh non algerian people like you started to mess up with names and force the use of niddle eastern version of the arabuc language, Many examples, the names wer changed from local arabic to middle eastern arabic. Please let the algerian community manage this.

Bonjour,
