| 439979 | Govanus | Its a while since I cycled along these roads last but wasn't a there a cycle way marked out along the pavements [sidewalks] running all along the northern perimeter road of thatcham [that some councilers once wanted to turn into a kind of bypass. I remember trying not long after it was made and parts obviously looked better on a map than from the saddle; as it wasn't wide, had enough unsuspecting pedestrians and plentsy of blind tight bends around hedges and even tighter into crossings designed flow slow pedestrians not fast bikes. So I was wondering is it still there and just not mapped up yet or did someone relise it was a bit difficult to use compared to the main traffic lanes, and didn't renew it. |
