I have no problem with changing the tag to the more common usage. Although imho the meaning of "default" is more clear than "implicit"

Thanks for correcting the data, I wasn't aware. Will tag countries per the ISO code convention in future.

Hi Mateusz, you're right - apologies for using the deprecated tag. I will update it. The source for this is a sign at the north end of the road saying "Private road no unauthorised access". I am not sure of the legal status of this sign, however this road is a designated public footpath and I wanted to be clear that access is allowed for people on foot.

That's great, thanks I will do that. There is a sign on the same pole facing the other way which I put as a separate node - do you have a better suggestion for that

Thanks, I'll revert these changes, but I note a concern that, while you're technically correct, towpaths are *in general* permissive paths (i.e. for walking, too). Singling out bicycle for this tag could be seen as a statement that "cycles don't really belong on the towpath", which is not the stance of the owner (Canal and River Trust) who declare towpaths a shared space for both cyclists and walkers. From the Canal and River Trust website: "Is the towpath a public right of way? Most towpaths are not public rights of way. Instead, the majority of our towpaths are ‘permissive paths’ as we allow members of the public to use them. Occasionally we need to close towpaths to carry out maintenance work."

Yes it is hard to find! I visited Batchworth Lock and dropped some rubbish off at the rubbish disposal a few days ago. There is a sign on the Elsan door saying "the waste disposal has moved" and someone has helpfully scratched out "waste" and written "they mean rubbish" (cue debate on OSM tags)! I asked someone local and they showed me where to walk around the premier inn building site and find the rubbish disposal. It looks rather temporary - 6 big orange Biffa bins next to the building site (but outside). When I went to mark it on OSM I found an existing point that described the waste bin in approximately the right location, so I added tags I thought appropriate. However I double checked last night and it is actually on the wrong side of the pathway, so I will update the location and place it outside the building site.
