@jsarafan if you could add it that'd be great! Thanks!

@jsarafan I've not seen highway=path get used to route through buildings in this way before - is there a wiki article or something I can learn more about this on? It looks like other mapping schemes exist to address this sort of a route - perhaps more additional data is needed on the way? https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/61025/pragmatic-single-level-indoor-paths

Also, there is a separate route that takes visitors down the steps next to the visitor center and across the parking lot. We could connect the Cedar Creek Trail directly to the parking lot ways to help routing software connect the paths.

@dknelson9876 do you know if the other stop near Bryce Canyon Lodge, node/906768051, is still active? I’m not from the area, but looking at the map saw the two stops and got curious. Stop #7 on the shuttle route doesn’t match up with map info from what I can tell.

> in fact this is appropriate after all, with cyclelists having right of way over cars at this junction without dismounting?

Yeah that's my interpretation based on https://www.vdot.virginia.gov/travel-traffic/bike-ped/bike-safety/ and the related legislation, as the trail here doesn't have signage but the crossing is clearly marked. Not only do cyclists not have to dismount, they don't have to stop or yield (unless the car is already "in the intersection", so to speak).

I think the explicit crossing is helpful from several perspectives. It expresses the legislative intent of the segment, as well as the details of path use (surface, markings, etc). Routing apps might use that information to provide a faster route, or to caution of an upcoming yield-crossing.

I think what happened was you split a path by inserting a crossing (totally normal, nothing bad here), and when I resolved the conflicts I deleted the "new" path segment you added, as my changes were still based on the older, longer path.
