Hi, thanks for the mapping effort on bus stops in your area.

Small problem spotted: the correct way to name stops is like this: "Esch/Alzette, Gare routière". All the stops in the bus station must have the same name, this is how the software can correctly bundle them together. The A1 or B2 part saying the platform number does not go in the name field, it goes to "local_ref".

You have a valid point here.

We are currently discussing the tags for public transport in Belgium, because the legacy way of having "operator" and "network" tags on every line but also every stop should perhaps be changed.

changeset/166407434 did it. This is a mistake. No railway=station tag wanted on aerial stations like here. Now removed.

Your comment seems misguided, the changeset here is not about through-traffic restrictions.

If there are such restrictions, the correct tag you could add is vehicle=destination

This changeset is not about this at all. This changeset only removed the "designated" values, which are not used in Belgium.

Ced_Th: We have a question for your local knowledge.

This part had 2 lanes: one for cars and a bus lane: way/813425808 to way/672465093

You changed it as a single-lane road. No bus lane anymore, then?

I repaired all (36!!) bus route relations which had been broken here.
Please, someone, help repairing all the other mistakes introduced by this changeset.

And another mapper already fixed it during the weekend. Great!

Yes, "Anderlecht Dover" is only the value for an alt name here. It was copied by mistake and JOSM split it to make it a key/value. Sorry.

Bedankt voor de info.

Ondertussen is dit bij ons aangekomen:
Werken Meulestedebrug - lijn 5b blijft beperkt tot Meulestede (Meeuwstraat)
Momenteel actief:
* 13/01/2025 - 05/09/2025 5:00
Toekomstig
* 07/09/2025 5:01 - Einde werken

We passen de kaart aan.

Thanks for the document.
If that is an official street name, they chose a strange one.
Do you know when the new stops will be operational?

I get your point.
The 5 sub-networks for De Lijn (DLAn, DLLi, DLOV, DLVB, DLWV) all point to Q614819.
Just applying the current established practice, I didn't create this rule.
If I follow you, each subnetwork should point to a separate network:wikidata tag.

Yes, a simple copy/paste error, as you can see: Q614819Q3512075 should be Q614819;Q3512075
Fixed now.

Hello.
No personal feelings about this, we just go with community decisions.
Most non-locals are confused because the "métro léger" name is misleading.
One the reasons is that several parts of lines M1 and M2, sometimes entire streets, are shared with cars, like Rue de la Station in Anderlues. It fails at the first question according to this decision tree: https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/railway-light-rail/69578/34 We find comparable situations in Antwerp and Brussels and all of them are trams, because they all have the same problem: some parts of the lines are completely mixed with traffic.
Even LRTA, which maintains in inventory of networks they consider to match the LRT criteria, does not consider it as a light-rail: https://web.archive.org/web/20191027053236/http://www.lrta.org/world/worlda-e.html
Another issue to consider for OSM: the data model seems incomplete for light_rail. Stop position nodes and crossing nodes do not match the same tags. And it would be impossible to map M1/M2 as light_rail while keeping M3/M4 as trams, the platforms and tracks are shared. Can you point to some documentation explaining how those points could be solved?

Ne pas effacer les arrêts d'OSM svp.
S'il y a une erreur de données-sources chez TEC, le signaler avec une note + changer les tags, sinon l'arrêt sera importé à nouveau.

We know this.
This comment should not be placed under this changeset, which is the fix, but under yours.

Thanks, we can remove this tag entirely; I run a home-made script to push new stops into JOSM before uploading and use this "aaaaa" key to easily review them before uploading. On this changeset I forgot to remove it before uploading. Thanks for the help.
