Last Friday 14th, we organised a webinar with Mr Johanes Petro from Open Map Development, Tanzania. He introduced us to OpenMapKit (OMK) and OpenDataKit (ODK). It was very enlightening. I have installed the apps on my phone and look forward to sharing the knowledge with our students at the Unilag Mappers Team. ODK and OMK will become very useful tools in field surveys for their student projects and other activities.

It’s only been a few days now since the UnilagMappersTeam at the University of Lagos has been set up. Already, our student mappers are firing away on mapping tasks. Thanks to Mr. Victor Sunday and student mentors from UniqueMappersTeam for the ongoing mentorship.
