Changeset When Comment

Hi, I checked the changeset. It looks like I accidentally copied tags from another object. So, this should be foot=yes.
Thanks.

Just to add, the changeset also contains deletion of MacArthur Boulevard and retagging of North Fort Myer Drive to motorway although it has traffic lights. I guess that's enough for reverting.

Hi! Thank you for adding landuse areas. I noticed that you placed the "source" tag on every node of areas that you added in this and few previous changesets. It is sufficient to have a "source" tag on areas only unless individual nodes have their own tags (like address points). Could you please check for the future changes that the "source" tag is on the areas only. I have removed the source tag from individual nodes in your resent changesets in this area. Thank you.

Hi. The nodes without tags are not standalone. They are parts of the newly created buildings. You can see it by checking the details for a node. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi. I agree it is primary state route according to its ref but from importance point of view it provides connectivity only for the local neighborhood and thus classifies as tertiary.

Do you have a link? This is an official county data updated in August 2021 https://geohub-loudoungis.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/loudoun-street-centerline/explore?location=39.098860%2C-77.530388%2C16.00
You can see the part of VA7 west from River Creek Parkway is named East Market Street.

Hi. VA 7 is officially called East Market Street within Leesburg boundary according to TIGER and Loudoun county map data https://logis.loudoun.gov/weblogis/
The boundary crosses VA7 at River Creek Parkway. That part that you renamed should be East Market Street. I'll change it back if you don't mind. Thanks.

Hi, I have noticed you changed the parts of Lee Highway and Prince William Parkway from trunk to motorways. Could you please explain this decision? According to previous discussion https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-us/2021-January/020837.html I believe those should be tagged as trunk. These stretches of roads are just couple miles long, switch to trunk on both edges and don't have enough grade separated interchanges to become motorways.
Thanks.

Sure, I'll follow that rule.

Hi amuppidi,
No worries. Everything looks fine. I really appreciate your work on improving the map!

Hi amuppidi,
You have added a lot of individual nodes that correspond to building outlines all over Loudoun County in multiple changesets. Looks like you tried to import a lot of buildings but imported nodes only. Since these nodes clutter the map and do not correspond to actual object it is better to revert your batch of changesets and carefully import the buildings in small portions manually because it may require manual conflation with existing data.
You can revert the changesets with imported nodes using JOSM reverter plugin or I can help you to do it if you would like.
All the best,
Miha.

The edits that you did with the residential areas are totally fine. However the individual houses should not be removed if they are not complete for the entire community, but correctly placed and have proper tags. Someone else can come later and complete it.
No reason to delete the work that you have done. I'll return the deleted houses but will keep your other edits from this changeset intact.

Hi Knewl. Thank you for contributing to OSM. I noticed you deleted many houses. Is there a reason for that or you you did it accidentally?
Thanks, Miha.

Hi and welcome to OSM! Thank you for adding missing driveways. However it is necessary to connect the driveways to the road that they can be accessed from. Otherwise the routing will not work properly.

Hi! Thank you for updating the map. But unfortunately all the available satellite imagery is outdated. The building that you added was demolished several months ago and there is construction of a new one in progress. I'm going to revert the changeset so that the map is up to date.
