Your point is well taken and I will do that before continuing.

Editing from far away should not disqualify anyone in this day and age. Having lived in Winnipeg a couple of years, I consider myself somewhat of a local. :-)

I meant to write _not_ a valid coparison.

No, I must admit, it did not cross my mind to check with the local community. However, I would consider the comparison of these local objects with an ocean a valid one.

I consider MB to be a predominantly english speaking province.

For objects in St. Boniface for instance, I would have looked around for other examples to see whether those might have the default name set in Francais.

After the fact, I found it quite interesting to see the naming conventions in Nunavut, but it seems that's an outlier in Canada.

Your second message overlapped with me writing mine.

I did not intend to generate a multi-country changeset. The default setting of the Osmose editor surprised me in that regard. (first time use)

Do you consider my Manitoba edits harmful?

Hi PcMouse1,
for objects with only multi-language names and no explicit default name, I have copied the english language name (for Manitoba objects) or the swedish language name (for Sweden objects) to the (default) tag name.
