Hi Keith, thanks for noticing. Two Metro Vancouver trucks flew past while I was walking on it last weekend and I found myself wishing it was marked in some way to differentiate it from a true hiking trail. I read the relevant wiki pages at the time and was under the impression that highway=track was acceptable even if it isn’t publicly
open to traffic, but reviewing them now I think I was mistaken – the page for highway=path pretty clearly states that track is only more suitable if it’s open to motorised traffic. I would change it back myself but I don’t have access to a computer at the moment.
