| 71653978 | over 6 years ago | The boat ramp is not a waterway. In OSM the ramp is designated as a "slipway". See leisure=slipway. The dog park needs an adjustment. Replace the period in the middle with an underscore _. For more info see leisure=dog_park

| 71653978 | over 6 years ago | The roads you drew are just lines right now. You'll need to select what type of road they are before the will show up on the map.

| 71653978 | over 6 years ago | Thanks for the updates at the RV park. The information you put in addr:housenumber should be moved to the description space. If there is a address number for the RV park you could put than in to replace it.

| 70101003 | over 6 years ago | Your imports in this area have left several thousand orphan nodes (nodes with no tags or information) and they have no value on the map. If I delete them will it cause any problems for the imports? |
| 71043477 | over 6 years ago | Sorry for the problem. iD has since changed the way it handles this because there were many unhappy mappers. Yes, feel free to correct them. |
| 71540325 | over 6 years ago | Hi RHerk and welcome to OSM mapping! Your first edits look great. Keep up the good work.

| 71349382 | over 6 years ago | I'm really sorry. I am no longer using iD validation. There are just too many problems with it. Feel free to revert. |
| 71232943 | over 6 years ago | Sorry about that. Won't happen again. |
| 71283012 | over 6 years ago | May I suggest using one of the editors that most OSM mappers use - iD in your web browser is fairly simple and straightforward, or JOSM which most veteran mappers use. It has a bit of a learning curve but has many abilities that iD doesn't have yet.

| 71043245 | over 6 years ago | @oba510 There have been some discussions in the Wiki pages regarding "boutique." It is somewhat ambiguous because it refers primarily to the size and configuration of the shop, not what is being sold in it. Some in this changeset area are indeed selling clothing but there is also boutiques selling espresso coffee and makers, jewelry, flowers and gifts. There has been discussion about choosing tags that are more accurate as to what is being sold rather than just using boutique. |
| 71043245 | over 6 years ago | oba510 As for the changes to Peet's Coffee, that is the standardized name for use in OSM, and that is the name used on the websites of Peet's Coffee locations in San Francisco. Although there may be a banner saying Peet's Coffee & Tea hanging outside, Peet's has chosen not to use that in their branding. I have no problem with iD validation identifying Peet's Coffee & Tea as a deprecated tag and replacing it with the standardized brand used at all the other locations. |
| 71043245 | over 6 years ago | freebeer, it would probably best to do some tests with the validation in iD and see what results you get. I'm getting too much negative feedback about my use of it - some deserved and some not - so I'm going to take a different route. |
| 71043245 | over 6 years ago | Sorry my edits caused a problem. I don't know anything about the Peet's shops being changed. I didn't add anything but some tags were changed because they were deprecated. Thanks for your patience. |
| 71159798 | over 6 years ago | Check it now. I think I got it all. Sometimes OSM won't let you delete something when part of it is outside the screen viewing area. If you are not able to zoom out and see the whole object then you can split lines and delete a piece at a time.

| 71146547 | over 6 years ago | I am not familiar with the capabilities of the editor you are using - GoMap. Perhaps someone else can help out of this one.
|
| 71146547 | over 6 years ago | We need more info. Exactly what is the thing you are trying to delete?
|
| 71146336 | over 6 years ago | It would be much easier to give you feedback if you left comments detailing what you were trying to accomplish by your edits.
