The primary problem is apps like AllTrails that use the data in an unresponsible way. In addition to not hiding illegal trails, they direct people to the most "popular trail" in any area. Bonanza Flats gets so inundated with AllTrails idiots that they congest the trails and trailhead parking, even blocking the road making it completely impassable. With 350+ miles of singletrack in Park City, everyone uses the same trail. This also erodes the trails. I work directly with trail associations and they all say the same thing: AllTrails is destroying the best trails. Bonanza Flats is one of the more sensitive areas, and if people are going to put trail data there, they should go up there themselves and determine what the trail names are, difficulty level, etc. Or talk with the trail association/land owner. Using satelite or a heatmap alone does not tell you what trails are illegal.

All that I would ask, is that you follow the OSM mantra "Don't Copy other Maps". I also provide my survey work to companies that are here in Utah like AltaPlanning, Trailforks, and others. Please stop copying them as well. You have added trail names that are only found on some of those sources.

I know the history is not removed, and I did not revert all the changes. I simply removed the data that was clearly stolen from my personal map, which the contributor also called out. I can leave a comment on some of his map edits.
