Thanks for reviewing my changeset and for your inputs. We are currently not mapping paths/sidewalks in OSM, I initially added it as a service road. Which was an error from my end, when I realized my error instead deleting the data I have converted it into a path for pedestrians. Please let me know, if I need to further edit it. Happy to learn from community.

Thanks for reviewing the edit. According to our understanding, though school is publicly owned and maintained, it shouldn't be accessed by all the public due to child safety concerns. The access needs to be open for parents, children, school staff and deliveries who will have all the necessary permissions to access the road. In this case as the road is connected between two residential roads, without access tag. Vehicles may use it as shortcut to reach either of the connected roads. Moreover as private is not completely restrictive tag, according to OSM wiki (access=private) vehicles can access private roads on individual case to case basis.
However, we are open for your inputs on this.

Thanks for your response. This usually happens when iD editor doesn't respond while editing and we refresh the web-page. I was unaware of the change being saved. As suggested by you I shall follow restricting it to an area and avoid such long edits.

Hi Aweech,
Thanks for your response. OSM by default consumes the sources that I've verified for my edit. The private tag that I've added is because the road appears to be a driveway leading to an entity. Please let me know if that is inappropriate.
