Hi.

Yes, the PROW is what I'd consider 'permanently blocked'. It was fenced and tied up by the property owner. (the PROW went down their driveway etc. etc.)

What I did in this case was walk back west about 40m and take the path running diagonally NE from Mevril Road (asphalt at the start). This then followed a well-established path across the field to a lane next to Cromford Mews. I've mapped this as a path. There were other paths across the field too, which would benefit from a survey visit and mapping.

The path next to the scout hut (south side) looked pretty overgrown from the Shallcross Incline side - I'd be less inclined :-) to map that as the primary route across the field.

I'd suggest the route I've mapped as the primary way across the field - as used by locals.

I'd also be minded to tag it as the designated way - though prefer to leave that decision to local mappers.

Hi tomhukins.
Bit fuzzy on this, it's some time ago.
I marked this as a crossing because the kerbs are lowered at both sides here.
I've been focussing on accessibility for disabled people, and the lowered kerbs are relevant to this particular group.
I'm happy for the change to be reverted if you feel it's not a crossing point in the formal sense.

Hi Jan.

I've checked the road here today, and there are two lanes separated by a solid 'no overtaking' white line. I'm happy that the edit should remain.

Evening,
Luckily I was re-passing this way today and you are right. There is a bridleway sign (which I actually parked next to during my survey visit) that I'd missed. So, the signage is correct and I'll amend some of my edits now to reflect the situation on the ground. More work to do in this area still!

Understood. I'm thinking I deleted a way and re-put it back in - not my normal approach. It must have been some serious disentangling I thought I was doing.

Have a good weekend.

Richard.

Hi kreuzschnabel.

Thanks for highlighting this. There certainly was no intention to break the routes! I'll make sure to scroll down to the relations before confirming updates in the future.

All the best.
Richard.

Agreed. I'd been working on the assumption that tagging as horse=designated was in effect the same as designating the route as 'public bridleway'. I do however see the logic of adding designation tags and will do so with any further sections I tag - bridleway, footpath etc...
Regards.
Richard.
