| 144479477 | almost 2 years ago | Hi SomeoneElse, I am not sure if there is a dip in the kurb here at node/386652412 as the photo I took of the gate just near this location does not quite show it. Hopefully I will be going to this area again soon so I will make sure to take a look if I go past this point and check, I will then update the map if a dip does exist. Thanks, Kerr |
| 125267362 | almost 2 years ago | Hi Manuel H, This was an error when I was trying to update the park boundary to make it more accurate and I tried to use the file from the location shown in the source and replace the original boundary with the new accurate boundary. At the time I did not realise my changes contained far too many points and when I uploaded them there were lots of errors so I cancelled the upload. Stopping the upload then caused all the stand alone nodes to be created. All these nodes were deleted within an hour as I went round the boundary and deleted them. After this I stared adjusting the boundary again and have been doing it in small sections and reducing the number of points on it where needed using the 'simplify way' tool in josm. I am still working on this boundary from time to time as there are still sections where it is not quite right but it is a fairly long and slow process as I do not want to make an error again and am doing it in a much more manual way. I hope this explains what happened and how it was fixed. Thanks, Kerr |
| 126095974 | almost 2 years ago | Hi Manuel, Thank you for pointing this out, I meant to add the fence at the time I made the additions but I think I forgot as I was adding all the gates, signs and paths that I had mapped but then forgot to add the fence. The fence is now added and the gate attached as it is in real life. Thanks, Kerr |
| 105127533 | almost 2 years ago | Hi Phil, I separated the peak from the survey point as I read that this would highlight the fact that the survey point was placed in an exact location and so even if it appeared out of alignment with the satellite imagery it would probably not be accidentally moved. As the peak is a separate node it could be moved slightly to align with satellite imagery and this would not then miss align the survey point. I hope this explains why I did this. Thanks, Kerr |
