I am on the same boat. When I did this changeset I was just trying to fix as many sharp angles as possible. But yeah, I completely agree with you, and the actual buildings should be put here instead.

I didn't add them. It says version one due to my method of aligning roads where I would delete the road except for two nodes and redraw it. I think they came from a user named "RGoldfinger."

As for if they are needed or not, I think some of them are necessary with correct tagging (e.g. no capitals and underscores). However, I have no idea what some of these are trying to say such as "_EMP__=1.2000" and I feel that they could be removed
