Changeset When Comment

Hey @HABmaps, just wondering what the intent was of this changeset? Was it to indicate that walking/bringing bicycles onto the platform is allowed? As far as I know, cycling on the platforms is not permitted, which is what bicycle=yes indicates. Bicycle=no or bicycle=dismount may be better tags, see this discussion around the differences between them - bicycle=dismount. Generally bicycle=no implies pushing is allowed, but within the context of a station bicycle=dismount may be preferable to indicate that bikes are allowed within the station (which is what I assume was the original intent of this change).

Hey RYRY1002, just fyi for next time, segregated=yes indicates that pedestrians and cyclists have their own marked 'lanes' on the path. That's not the case in Prince Alfred Park, so I've changed it back to segregated=no. Cheers! segregated=*

These edits you've been making around La Perouse are amazing! Makes the whole place so much easier to understand on a map

Cheers for tagging the toilets, I was out on a ride yesterday and was busting to go, searched for toilets in OSM and these were nearby. Nice toilets too

Thank you! The weather has been great this summer so I've been passing by this spot a lot recently on the way to Bondi Beach

Hi Jake, I've just updated this way to be highway=proposed+proposed=cycleway rather than cycleway=proposed based on the wiki guidelines - let me know if that is an issue or all good :) proposed=*#How_to_tag_in_general

Thanks!

Seems I hit the changeset word limit. That last sentence was meant to say "between cycleway & shared crossing".

I walked around the perimeter of the area and noted all the 40 area / end 40 area signs. It's new, they've just taken the covers off most of the signs. There's also some new traffic calming at the various start/end points which I haven't mapped yet - a few road tables, and in some areas a band of textured road surface (not sure if that can be mapped in OSM).

I can't quite remember which router, fairly sure it was either https://cycle.travel or https://cyclestreets.net (they both work now with the new tagging). Before, even when I added a "via" point directly on the Oxford Street cycleway parallel to Centennial Park, it was having trouble routing from Wallis Street across the intersection to the cycleway.

Good point with the bicycle=dismount tag though, will update them all.

Thanks for reviewing! Figured I'd double check because the tagging seemed wrong but I'm still somewhat of an OSM newb and thought it could have been some Sydney-specific cycleway tagging scheme.

Hey, thanks for reviewing! Sorry for all the requests, I'm a bit new to this and still learning my way around.

In this particular case, the trees are down the center of the roadway (from on-the-ground knowledge) rather than on either side. What should I do in that scenario?
