Setting Wisconsin to 8 conflicts with the Wiki
boundary=administrative?uselang=en
These are large tracts of land not villages or towns that are concentrated in smaller areas.
I've lived here for 60 years and know what a town or township is in Wisconsin. They are regions based on where you vote or determine your local zoning ordinances. Hence the name "Civil Township" Several Towns may be within a Township

Wisconsin defininetly should be set back to 7
In Wisconsin, civil townships are known as "towns" rather than townships, but they function essentially the same as in neighboring states

I think the outer perimeter of the "Relation: Lake Mead full-water area (8527067)" needs adjusting to better match real world data. I dont know where the data could be found but I do think this is useful data.
https://www.nps.gov/lake/learn/nature/storage-capacity-of-lake-mead.htm
This page has some info on levels.
Full Pool Operational Capacity 1,219.0 ft. In the 80's and 90's it did crest above 1200 ft.
I did use Google Earth and 36.3071,-114.4217 is at 1228 ft so this should not be intermediate water (under water) according to note "The full water is at 1,221.4 ft at the top of the spillway. High water is at elevation 1,229 ft (not mapped)". I think someone should find an accurate and detailed elavation contour of Full Pool Operational Capacity of 1,219.0 ft. for full water level.

My changeset doesn't include echo bay at 36.3071,-114.4217. I also did not add the "Full Water Area" but only Seperated Hemenway Valley sand area from full reservoir intermittent water Lake Mead polygon

To do it correctly you have to create separate leisure=nature_reserve and natural=wood areas. And I have done this before but gets very redundant cause there are so many to correctin osm.

123376948 about 3 years ago

yes it was intentional to make it simple. Because people tag entire forests as wood then if there are lakes or wetlands inside these will get covered with wood also. this is a big problem in osm. So to make it easy for me I just trimmed a little off that corner of the forest to make the wetland accurate at the expense of the forest being inaccurate.

Agreed. I just like the way the outline and label show for tourism=theme_park in OSM. It stands out in a good way. I know this is not a theme park but until they render at least an outline whats the point to tag an unrenderable object. I do tag alot of unrenderable objects like pipelines and such but this object is just too popular to not have rendered. Am I right?

This does not render with these tags in OSM. The best choices are amenity=community_centre
and or
tourism=theme_park.
Your choice of amenity=festival_grounds is the best choice logically thinking but I have realized OSM will not render alot of tags. So if you want it to render in OSM use the choices I suggested.

I agree it's a tough one to tag but I also did what you did and considered all the documented tags in the wiki, and I still think tourism=theme_park is the best.There also wouldn't be an amenity=exhibition_centre in another amenity=exhibition_centre (Wisconsin Exposition Center) that's a no no for sure.

sorry typo; changed type to multipolygon from boundary

I agree its not necessary I just wanted to link to National Recreation Area so people could see what that was because it is not a common item. you can delete it if you want to.
