| 124944081 | over 3 years ago | Try this for example: https://classic-maps.openrouteservice.org/directions?n1=47.279345&n2=8.843863&n3=15&a=47.274822,8.824725,47.277249,8.820134&b=1c&c=0&k1=en-US&k2=km No direct navigation between A and B for cyclists. Just because someone tagged an ashphalted fragment as the easiest SAC scale. Not even tagged the whole bunch of segments of that touristic hiking trail, but just a few.

| 124944081 | over 3 years ago | The segments of hiking trails should rather be tied together using a relation. I. e.: relation/10930418 The SAC scale itself is rather meant for classification of TRAILS (like in "single trails") in mountaineous regions. If a segment is asphalted, it does not even fall into that category of SAC scales. See illustrations of sac_scale=* One might be confused by the fact that there are definintely asphalted segments of hiking trails marked using the yellow diamond signs on (touristic long distance) hiking trails in Switzerland. But these are just used for signalisation/orientation because there is no easier SAC scale available. Apart from that the sac_scale breaks navigation for other users like cyclists. See https://ask.openrouteservice.org/t/please-remove-sac-scale-tag-filtering-for-bike-road-profile/4078 for example. |
