| 112571066 | about 4 years ago | This time I'm innocent -- I was using StreetComplete the way god (?) intended, but it decided to upload edits from days ago, though I had connectivity all the while and opened the app a few times in between these changes. Please take the matter with StreetComplete developers. I'm trying to be helpful and contribute my time to populate OSM data, but if I'm going to be chased by the OSM police from here on because of a few bad StreetComplete-generated changesets, I'm probably just going to stop contributing altogether. |

Presumably it'd be as simple as uploading each quest to its own changeset, or applying very simple heuristics (at a minimum, different city → different changeset?). Anyways, this is drifting off topic quickly. More to the point, you seem to be recommending not to use StreetComplete at all. If so, then this disclaimer should go into StreetComplete itself (open issue against developers). |
| 112316468 | about 4 years ago | Apologies, I didn't consider that StreetComplete would bulk-upload changes for different geographical regions in a single changeset, and especially with source=survey. I happen to be very familiar with both areas and I was just trying to contribute to the completeness of OSM in those regions. Truth is, StreetComplete is the most effective tool to highlight missing details that I can help fill in -- none of the web-based editors I know do that. I'm happy to receive suggestions if any do exist. |
