OK, this is fine, I agree. I am focused on cycling routes so when there's a path that leads to nowhere I tend to think about it as not good for cycling, but in this case you are correct

My rationale is that from a bicycle perspective one need to be able to ride to the road. If need to take steps and carry the bike, it’s not really accessible to bicycles.

Hi Marc, thanks for reaching out. I believe I only changed to bicycle=no tag, and I have not changed other attributes. the highway and name attributes should be same as in previous edits.

I cycle around Singapore and edit the map to update where cycling is not allowed or possible, like in this case, and I refrain updating other attributes.
That said, I am still relatively new to OSM and I will definitely take advice when doing something wrong.
