I removed the park and conflated the address into the building for you.

177819290

I stumbled upon your note. Since you requested a review. Here you go.

1. This is not a private park. This is considered mapping for the renderer and is considered vandalism. It needs to be removed.

Addresses are typically put on the main building that people should be navigated to for that address.

2. There is no name for most grass / woods and most parking lots. Just leave it blank.

3. Most of it is grass. Draw out the smaller sections and map it as grass.

4. Draw out the parking lot if you wish.

5. Individual trees can be put down over the grass.

6. Nearby there is woods. My rule of thumb for woods or grass is if they maintain (mow) under it.

7. You can throw down some foot paths over the grass.

If you do all of those it'll look nice. Hope that helps.

Great job on the building outlines.

If you switch the background to Mapbox Satellite you can see there is a nearby building visible to the West or is the address associated with the driveway a little North?

Only asking cause most routing algorithms will route to Ironwood place and not Birch lane with the current placement.

I was planning to unsplit this way in the next few hours. I may need you to double check the turn restrictions afterwards.

I have been fixing a lot of routing issues in NJ, I see you also are interested in it as well.

In my experience that's not that the best way to fix it as it doesn't give the routers the correct information.

It's best to add access=customers (access=private for non stores/private residences, and access=destination for non through public roads) to prevent using sections of roads as a short cut (and assuming it's actually true). It'll still use them for end point routing.

I put them a lot on the gas stations / stores on corners.

I know this is old and maybe you already learned it, but just in case.

I have updated it to customers for you.

Did they physically add a median? The aerials makes it look incorrectly split.

The Q key will auto square building corners for you. It'll help you make nicer looking buildings.

Why was the Challenger path marked one way? I haven't seen that before.

Based off https://property.nola.gov/

You tagged Desire near Florida Ave as private. The parcel map indicates Desire St looks like it's on public property. Just because it's fenced off doesn't mean it's private.

The parcel map also indicates that section is called Desire Street (not Parkway). If there isn't a street sign, it's likely the real name, and name:signed=no tag should be added.

If there is a chance of being readded, don't delete it and instead add the life cycle prefix.

osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

For instance this may have been better tagged with the abandoned prefix.

This will keep it from being rendered/used, but it also keeps people from accidentally readding it from old maps / aerials.

This gets all new mappers as the ID editor does not make it obvious.

You need to change the building tag on the the razed buildings to demolished:building (this is done manually in tags). The large building should be a construction area or a building under construction.

You can delete the businesses POIs that are no longer present.

Let me know if you need more help.

On the intersection of East Hutchinson Avenue, Streetside does confirm it should be Street.

172135803

I could not find a sign on streetside to back up the change and the parcel maps show that the suffix is Street not Way.

I'm sorry that people are getting confused between the addresses, but please don't change the name of the road as it causes people who live there problems.

I have reverted the changeset.

Thanks for contributing.

Try not to delete roads/paths/buildings that still exist on the ground. Instead change access and other tags and other tags to prevent routing through them. It's a common mistake.

I have resolved the issue for you.

Old roads rarely are straight up deleted unless they were added incorrectly, or completely razed.

Instead we often do a prefix code to indicate they exist, but were states of disrepair. This is sometimes useful for hikers and for people to not accidentally re-add them off older aerials. It does keep it from being used by routers. So it doesn't have much of a downside.

See here:
osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

In Id (the name of the web editor) it's done through the advanced tag editor. This would be disused:highway or abandoned:highway. It also is used a lot of recently demolished buildings (aka demolished:building)

Fortunately, you can revert your change here via the changeset # where you deleted it (aka this one)
https://revert.monicz.dev/

If it's just a really terrible road, consider changing it to a track.

This catches everybody cause the web editor doesn't indicate *it all*.

Accidentally re-used a comment summary. I added a business, max weight and some roads.

170618124

The OSM discord consensus is you should be setting them to access=private.

access=destination is used for "No Thru Traffic" signs.

The routers treat them a little differently.

170486004

You actually look like you updated it fairly well. Do you know if it's really a one way? I'm also not sure if the turn restriction is necessary if only emergency access vehicles will be using it.

170302173

Looks like you accidentally glued Eagle Acre Estates to the roads.
