If you tag a diary as “English”, everyone who follows the English tag, for example via RSS, will be notified about a diary they likely cannot read. At the same time, users interested in Bengali diaries will not be notified. Using the correct language tag ensures the diary reaches the right audience and doesn’t annoy the wrong one.

mentre se lo portiamo a 84/42 ne sopravvive soltanto uno.

In pratica abbiamo 6 utenti che hanno raggiunto la maggiore età su OSM! Considerando che OSM quest’anno compie 21 anni, sono stati attivi per l’85% della sua vita.

Ho citato questo diario nel mensileOSM 2. Mi chiedevo, secondo te è possibile scoprire chi sono gli utenti italiani più longevi ancora attivi? Intendo quelli che hanno contribuito per più anni consecutivi, mappando almeno 15-20 giorni all’anno (e almeno 5-10 nel 2025 visto che non è ancora finito)?

I’m not an expert on how tree taxa are modeled in Wikidata, but I know there are relevant properties like P1420 (“taxon synonym”).

In OpenStreetMap, I think it depends on the case. For example, if a widely used name like Acer platanoides (about 94,000 uses) were renamed, it would be a significant issue. But something like Prosopis velutina, which only appears once in the database, is easier to handle manually.

How often is the gardening checks updated? e.g. with relation/1471008 a red X is shown, but https://ra.osmsurround.org/ tells me there are no problems with the relation (I fixed some gaps 6 days ago). If the members are not ordered shouldn’t it be the <-> red symbol?
