I'd argue that the turning loop and turning loop Island are better for the map than "detail" of a drawn loop. The node type wouldnt exist if it wasn't meant to be used. I will continue to to use turning loop/turning loop Island in the future.

OSM displays it as an error suggesting that a footway should be a line and not an area. Instead of deleting the area I changed it to pedestrian area because I believe that it warrants keeping on a campus or city area.

I do not see where I have marked the Greenway itself as not a cycle trail. I marked instances of the walking path from a parking lot TO the trail as such.
