But again, I didn't not merge paths blindly. I would like you try to explain how, for example way/891400870 is not a single path, but two different sections.

I've continue our discussion in a comment on your latest edit.

Okay, first of all, way/1046040108 clearly didn't meet the criteria of being a "highway" in the the first place, the path is not "paved or improved", and certainly not "trampled by a sufficient number of humans".

Second, some paths like way/621133188 and way/621133186 are not abandoned paths, they are mere variations, gradual shifting of existing paths over the years.

New pathways appear every autumn and are gone by the next summer, reclaimed by nature every year in the area. If you're this obsessed with mapping every single "abandoned highways" that have appeared over years than you may as well cover the whole grassland area with paths, making the map unreadable, as if the map is not already messy enough.

Also I've noticed you avoided answering my question of having local knowledge of this area. If you don't know the place, I urge you go make a visit before making any uninformed changes to the map again.

The section you removed is "way/1557416347", which I have already restored.

Also do I have to define every word for you? As stated in documentation, "use your best judgement to follow common sense". The reason we're having this conversation is because you keep adding paths and lines that longer exist back to the map, like you just did an hour ago.

I have just removed them from the map again.

1. way/88145094, an impassable road you added back to the map 18 days ago
2. way/621133189, an impassable road you added back to the map 18 days ago
3. way/1046040108, a "path" on a steep hill side covered with trees, you added it back 18 days ago
4. way/1235202973, you removed a section of the path 11 days ago for unknown reason.

Do you truly can't remember you did those changes? Or you just "do things" to the map without considering the actual environment?

Can you please re-read my message, I'm not just talking about this edit, I'm talking about the changes you have made in the last two weeks. Also you didn't address any of the problems I pointed out above. Have you been to Ngong Ping recently? Do you really know the area and the condition of the paths here?

189106192

Also the is no path between Po Lo Che Road and Ngong Ping. (Maybe someone crazy enough might hike through dense forest and steep hill to go the campsite this way). But you have readded this "path" to the map in one of your revert.

I'm referring to the edits you've made to this area in the last two weeks. I personally have been to this place many times and know the area quite well. Some paths you have readded to the map no longer exist, like two of the three "informal paths" that is connecting Ma On Shan Country Trail to the road leading to the Pyramid Hill, its all covered with dense shrubs and overgrown with trees. And I don't understand why you have changed a section of a path from "informal path" to just a "line" in one of your edits (the one south of the viewing point).

Why removing a path that is clearly still visible (check Google Earth imagery 2024-2026) while readding paths that are clearly no longer exist? Shall we go hike there someday to see for ourselves?
