What is special about this very common tree, that amongst all others, it should be mapped?

quercus pedunculata does not exist!
If it is a Chêne pédonculé, it is Quercus robur.

Sorry, but OSM is probably not correct.
relation/7966939#map=17/50.77334/4.39520
The 2 roads should be outside and not inside the LEZ.

Got word from LEZ.brussels: they confirm their map is correct and part of Harrasdreef and St-Hubertsdreef is not in the LEZ. They warned Bruxelles Mobilité, responsible of the signalisation, to check it out.

Did see a LEZ sign at the correct place (after crossing St-Hubertus)
osm.org/?mlat=50.77413&mlon=4.39471#map=19/50.77413/4.39471
Maybe the signs near the border are to be removed?

130427663 almost 3 years ago

On the other side is the sign 'end of LEZ' near osm.org/?mlat=50.77065&mlon=4.40481#map=19/50.77065/4.40481

Verified today: LEZ sign is still there

Hi, photographed by G in aug 22:
https://www.google.com/maps/@50.7702769,4.4060945,3a,63.4y,305.71h,91.58t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1skjAiMOvxjxe0HdY8evmy3Q!2e0!7i16384!8i8192
at the border (crossing Bundersdreef) That's also how I remember it passing the sign along the Duboislaan driving that trip.
Maybe the sign is now moved? I will try to check next week if it is still there.

What I do not understand is why the 4 tracks are mixed, seen from the station side of Groenendaal as track, under construction, under construction and track, while before the 2 original tracks
openstreetmap.org/way/220474258
openstreetmap.org/way/32195184
were aside the station and the 2 new ones
openstreetmap.org/way/303327471
openstreetmap.org/way/303327470
were built behind them.

From cartographers point of view, this is a nice clean-up. For the ordinary map user, this makes the access rules in the forest unclear. Therefore it is better to reverse this to the explicit rules: path/track foot, bike, horse: yes/no
The paths are also signed in this way with pictograms for their access on foot, bike or horse.

Hi,
In redrawing the LEZ it got entangled with the Luxemburg line.
way/1124444680#map=19/50.77717/4.42947
I assume that it should be unconnected.

When I see the LEZ
relation/7966939/history#map=16/50.7715/4.4011
at the Harrasdreef,
way/150232849#map=17/50.77222/4.40028
then this seems not be included.
AFAIK there is a LEZ traffic sign long before the crossing with Hubertusdreef.
node/130199216#map=19/50.77409/4.39475
Can you fix?
Kind Regards,
Gerard

Map what you see, was a great principle at the start of the map, when it was very young. Now the map is mature and some problems arise, especially in nature areas.
Some restraining in what to have visible on the map is needed.
For background you may reed the comments on these changesets (in Dutch).

As a conclusion from the meeting after the visit at the terrain, it has been decided to map these illegal roads with the disused tag. So, they are mapped and in the database but not visible.
I hope for your understanding.
Kind regards,
Gerard

Hi,
These are illegal roads. They were removed from the map for that reason!
As visitor of the Sonian Forest, you have to follow some rules and one is to stay on the allowed paths (foot, bike, ...).
One may not create new paths (or helping creating them by mapping).
Please do not remap such ways and let them die.
Kind Regards,
Gerard

Not yet, but I will.
The intention is that it is not to be seen on the map at all.
When someone adds the road, he will see it has already been mapped. (and should understand why that is (therefore the note))

I saw these roads also and i'm wondering if there should be one. Afaik, it's a private property and some pasture and orchard.
I'm very busy, but try to check it out.

It's possible. I will check it out this week and delete it if it is gone.
It's not an Atlas way. Maybe at the time some people/farmers has taken a shortcut. I don't remember. Greetz
