That tag seems to be outdated. I updated the lane tags along R578 based on imagery. Thanks for reverting the edits here and commenting.

Hi HeeDZ. Thanks for adding these ref tags in the Riau Islands. In the rest of Indonesia and the world in OSM, usually ref tags contain only the highway code. For example, on way/687885257, ref=22. Can I change the ref tags you added from “Nasional 45” to “45”? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Thank you Andy. I was trying to fix these merges but may have missed tags in cases like this. Please feel free to fully revert any of my changesets while working on reverting Reitu’s changesets.

Thanks for the response, I’m glad to hear it was not intentional. I wonder if these were caused by splitting a way, then merging the two resulting ways in the same changeset. Or maybe it is a Go Map!! bug. As pointed out in changeset/100305847, we lose years of history when this happens. It’s not a serious concern, it’s just good practice to try to avoid this, as described on the OSM wiki.

OSMCha (https://osmcha.org/changesets/99538583) is a tool that allows you to visualize changes in OSM. I sometimes review changesets with many (ostensible) deletions.

Hi badenk, thanks for mapping. I noticed that you have been deleting and re-adding features with identical tags and geometry. Generally this makes it harder for people to see what you are doing and goes against OSM good practices: osm.wiki/Keep_the_history

Hi Ghassen, thank you for mapping. Generally roundabouts are mapped as normal highway types rather than links. This is also written about on the OSM wiki:

Hi Cody_vb, welcome to OSM! Primary classification is used for the most important roads in a country which link towns and cities. Roads like way/808808008 should be residential. You can read more here: highway=*#Highway

Hi Arman05. The M-8 (way/503043608) does not consistently have the characteristics of a motorway described on the OSM wiki (highway=motorway). It is not exclusively accessed by ramps and is not a dual carriageway. I think it should remain highway=trunk. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
