Thanks for your explanation about what and why it is wrong!
I thought that since the Portes du Soleil represents an area the best way of representing that would be a multipolygon (but I now see that is wrong), especially since site=piste relations usually only have pistes and aerialways as members.
I will revert this change shortly.

I did not coordinate this with the local community. I was just enthousiastic about creating a better winter sports representation for this area

Châtel currently does not have its own skipass and so in my opinion does not represent anything.
Regarding other changes I made, the portes du soleil area did not correspond to the complete area included in the skipass and it's subarea's (mostly) did not exist
