the deviations you are highlighting are the differences between the first and the second edition of the book. My trace is aligned with the newest edition.

I got in touch with the book's authors, I will let you know as soon as the reply to me.

- in [route:hiking](route=hiking) the point "The route itself is shared common knowledge among a significant number of people that are not all mutually connected. This usually means that it is easy to find different sources of information about it online or many people living in the area know about it." applies quite well to this route in my opinion.
- Maybe I can contact the authors of the book and ask them if they oppose to have this in OSM.
- it has not its signage but it is based on existing signage of other routes.
- it is mentioned also in the official website of the local tourist office (https://www.visitcuneese.it/dettaglio-esperienza/-/d/trekking-del-lupo)

What do you think about starting a discussion with the local OSM community?

It is presented in this book https://www.terre.it/prodotto/trekking-marittime-mercantour/ and I hiked it personally, all huts in the region are aware it is a known trekking (not sure this is sufficient to define it "official").

Anyway, it is shown on the official website https://destination.marittimemercantour.eu/it/trek/169693-Il-trekking-del-Lupo---Argentera-%26-Merveilles with a slightly different path that corresponds to the first edition of the book.

I used the white-red signage because it is the signage of mostly of the paths included in this route. But We can use a different signage if you think this may be a copyright issue.

in realta' c'e' un muretto con un accesso, non c'e' una corsia di parcheggio. Per quello mi sembrava piu' simile il raccordo di strada
