I’m a traveller (have been to 70+ countries) who also maps the world. Making videos for my YouTube channel Vagabondity with short walks in various places around the world, showing the atmosphere of the place I’m visiting.
Often try to focus on “high-value” OSM mapping (missing or incorrect roads, missing buildings) instead of much less impactful “low-value” things like micro-mapping of already well-mapped places. I think it’s much more important for the map and hence useful for people when you add a completely missing road or building in poorly mapped place, in comparison to finding and adding every single bench in the park in a very well mapped city, or smth like that. Just something to keep in mind.
But apart from that, I also sometimes map missing green zones in cities because it makes the map more atmospheric and visually pleasant, less boring too :)
