59901184 | over 6 years ago | Hi, thanks for your input! When I was there, there also wasn't any snow, but otherwise the conditions were quite bad - very wet and foggy. Perhaps that influenced my decision as well. The rating is certainly somewhat borderline here; to me it seemed appropriate to rate it as demanding_mountain_hiking, I think mostly due to some steps over rocks that require sure footedness to not fall. But if you think that mountain_hiking is more appropriate, I won't object - feel free to change the rating. Yours,

There's also a very nice spot (including a book to add your name and a small "bench") in the upper part of the Direttissima Mitte Nord - perhaps have a look at that as well! And indeed, the spelling was wrong - I've fixed it now. Thanks for pointing it out! I don't think this is different in Switzerland, at least I'm not aware of it. |
60545950 | almost 7 years ago | After reading the reports and before I actually went to Fallätsche, I was also a bit worried - but then it turned out to be easier than I thought; perhaps the ways are better now than they were three years ago. On the other hand, I'm of course experienced in hiking and mountaineering, so you should still be careful. The path does cross a fleet of rock, that's why I mapped it that way. It is only 1.5m or so, though, and not real climbing. I think it makes sense the way it is, because that shows the path's position relative to the cliff, even if the cliff is not very high. But I think it would also be not too wrong to move the cliff's start to the east of the path - feel free to try it out and edit afterwards according to your impression. |
