@rickmastfan67 I made this edit as part of a larger effort to standardize the way "future" Interstates are tagged in OSM. From my survey of other future Interstates, there was no consistency in how Future signage is treated and there did not appear to be a standard practice for this.

This case is a bit unique because of the discontinuity of I-26 and how long the Future I-26 signage has been used here. (FWIW, I grew up in Asheville and have seen those Future I-26 signs for years and years along this route.) Can you point me to documentation that ref tags should match the signage in the field rather than the official current designation?
