| 165086779 | 7 months ago | I changed it because I received this comment from Aenet: "By the way, the River Trail is mapped as a combined cycle and foot path by bicycle=designated and foot=designated. So because it is combined, highway=path should be used over highway=cycleway, unless you prefer to map the sections where they are actually segregated within MSU as two separate paths, in which case you can map the bicycle portion as highway=cycleway and the foot portion as highway=footway. Until then, please keep the River Trail as highway=path (or start a discussion about this amongst other Michigan mappers). The page for Michigan on the OSM Wiki states "Most trails and paths in Michigan are multi-use. Often with rules posted specifying foot traffic has the right-of-way. These are NOT cycleways. When in doubt start with highway=path." See here: osm.wiki/Michigan#Paths_/_Trails Best regards,
Hope this helps, cmxn |

| 140023488 | over 2 years ago | Because I replaced it with a node that labels the community as a village. Prior, the only label was the residential area itself. |
| 140023778 | over 2 years ago | Yes, I relocated the node to near the center of the most densely populated part of the city. |
| 139486286 | over 2 years ago | I only made it a primary because it handles the combined traffic of highways M-22 and M-72, which oftentimes matches the level of the rest of Grandview Parkway, and often goes above other primary roads, such as Garfield Avenue. Afterall, locals consider this stretch to be the lifeline of Leelanau County. Furthermore, I didn’t change M-22 or 72 to primary roadways, as they aren’t nearly as busy as their combined traffic. It is relatively uncommon for traffic southbound on M-22 to turn west onto M-72, or eastbound traffic on 72 to turn northbound onto 22. However, if it should be changed back, i’m happy to do so. |
