We filed a bug report on this issue as both the way and point are allowable methods to use a holding point and I started creating the lines for a project I’m working on.

If you don’t mind I’ll mark it the way most systems recognize it, I’ll leave your moved position in place though.

Thanks for the dragged-node fix on A2 — that one was mine.

On the retag: I've been using aeroway=holding_position on the way, which is what the wiki still documents as de facto and what the other 33 hold lines I've drawn at Jackson Hole, Savannah and Richmond carry. aerodrome_marking=holding_position is still a draft proposal from 2022 and hasn't been voted so its confusing to have the point and the line refer to different conventions for the same thing.

I'm not attached to mine. The node/way conflict it solves is real — iD flags my ways as vertex_as_line every time, and so does JOSM. But Jackson Hole now has one line tagged differently from the other three, and I'd rather not leave it that way, its also not common that way (over 40,000 use the holding point globallly, versus only 1600 the proposed aerodrome marking). Thoughts?

Are you converting these systematically? If so I'll move all of mine over in one changeset and follow the digitisation direction the proposal asks for. Tell me which way you're going and I'll match it.
